Stunning 1950’s Multi-story residential dwelling founded on an un-reinforced concrete perimeter ring beam. The property owner suspected to have some issues with the quality of the post-earthquake repair works, therefore engaged Robotic Inspections NZ to assess the subfloor element conditions. Based on the external conditions, we were expecting some issues with the piles since the foundations have been already repaired, but the levels were still out by 90mm. The assessment discovered multiple shocking issues, such as piles been packed (with non-compliant timber packers) up to approximately ~250mm, removed piles, cracked piles, and other pressing issues.
